# SavItUp DSP Integration Guide (Demand Side — send us traffic)

Audience: referral partners, publishers, and advertisers driving new members to
SavItUp. Written to be directly actionable by marketers, engineers, and LLM
agents.

## Overview

- Every campaign gets one opaque tracked link: `https://savitup.com/go/<id>`
  where `<id>` is a 16-character lowercase-alphanumeric campaign id.
- The link is the ONLY thing you place — in posts, ads, emails, or as a QR
code. No UTM parameters, no pixels, no SDK.
- Attribution is first-touch and write-once: the first campaign associated
with a member at signup is credited permanently.
- Campaigns are created by the SavItUp team for you: contact
support@savitup.com with "DSP campaign" in the subject. You receive the
`/go/` link (and a QR if you want one).

## How the tracked link behaves

1. A visitor opens `https://savitup.com/go/<id>`.
2. SavItUp records one click event and 302-redirects to
   `https://savitup.com/?c=<id>`.
3. If the visitor installs and signs up, the campaign is attributed to that
member: either automatically (the code carries through), or when they type
the 16-character code at signup ("Have the app? Enter code …").
4. Deactivated or unknown ids still redirect to savitup.com but record
nothing — dead campaigns stop counting instantly.

## What SavItUp stores about your traffic (and what it never stores)

Stored per click: campaign id, timestamp, coarse device class
(ios/android/desktop/other), coarse region (country/region headers), and the
referrer domain when present.

Never stored: IP addresses, user-agent strings, cookies, or any cross-site
identifier. There is nothing to place on your side and nothing to disclose
beyond a standard outbound link.

## Attribution semantics (exact)

- First-touch, write-once: a member's acquisition record is set once at signup
and never overwritten — later clicks on other campaigns do not reassign.
- Code entry wins channel: when a member enters a campaign code, the
campaign's registered channel is credited (their self-reported channel is
  ignored).
- Members who skip attribution count as organic; you are never credited by
  default.

## Reporting

Per-campaign click counts and signup attribution are tracked in SavItUp's
systems; your SavItUp contact shares campaign performance on request or on an
agreed cadence. Signup attribution via code entry is exact; link-through
attribution is labeled correlated.

## QR codes

Any QR that encodes your `/go/` link works; SavItUp can generate one for you.
Print materials, flyers, and offline placements attribute exactly like web
links.
